Green campus

Jönköping University is transforming its campus environment to create a greener, more attractive, and more sustainable space for students, staff, and visitors.

The initiative focuses on increasing vegetation and improving outdoor areas. Plans include adding trees, hedges, and shrubs, as well as creating more inviting outdoor meeting spaces.

By expanding bicycle parking and reducing car traffic, the project also supports more sustainable mobility on campus, while ensuring continued access for essential transport and accessibility needs.

The ambition is to create an open, safe, and vibrant campus, described as a “green living room”, where sustainability, wellbeing, and community come together.
