Roadmap: Measurable, Effective, Future-Oriented

We create a comprehensive greenhouse gas forecast that also includes embodied energy. Based on this, we identify the greatest reduction potentials, evaluate them transparently in terms of costs and benefits, and define a clear target figure. The remaining emissions are then compared to the positive sustainability contributions of research at TU Wien – thus demonstrating the concrete difference the university makes for environment and society.

Energy efficiency and follow-up costs are systematically factored into the evaluation of all tenders. This ensures that procurement is not only economically sound but also environmentally responsible.
