Smart Gardens: How to demonstrate the impact of vegetation on temperature
Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT)
ready / up and running
The Télécom Paris building, a testing ground for urban greening: Smart Gardens is the demonstrator (“living lab”) located at Télécom Paris / Télécom SudParis in Palaiseau, developed within the E4C (Energy for Climate) interdisciplinary center of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Its objective is to demonstrate the major role of urban greening through gardens integrated within buildings, including heat retention in winter, cooling in summer, energy and water savings, improved air quality, and enhanced pollination of green areas and gardens.
