Sustainability Roadmap

At the National Technical University of Athens, we have long recognized the threat that climate change poses to the future of our planet and the role that our community must play in addressing this challenge. As part of this effort, for some years now, we have adopted a new set of principles aimed at strengthening sustainable environmental practices at the Polytechnic. These principles, which were developed by professors and researchers of the National Technical University of Athens, were strengthened through the participation of students. The principles focus on three key areas: advancing our educational, research and outreach missions, improving energy efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of the operation and management of the two main campuses, as well as shaping a university culture that supports sustainability.
